Building off the critical success of Wii Sports and its popular "fitness test" mode is Wii Fit, a collection of more than 40 activities and games specifically designed to get players off the couch. Packed in with Nintendo's Wii Balance Board, a squat rectangular object resembling a common scale, Wii Fit spreads its activities out across four different categories: strength training, aerobics, yoga, and balance training.<br><br>Players begin by entering their height on the screen and then standing on the Balance Board to determine weight and body mass index (BMI). After users' BMI has been calculated a balance test, based on how well players can control their left and right balance, determines players' Fit Age.<br><br>Users can then begin to try out the game's many activities. Strength training focuses on muscle toning, and includes exercises like single leg extension, torso twists, and rowing squats, as well as push-up, plank, and jackknife challenges. Yoga activities stress balance and flexibility and incorporate deep breathing and poses like half-moon, standing knee, and downward facing dog. Heart-pumping aerobic exercises include advanced step, rhythm boxing, and free run, while the balance games include soccer heading, ski jump, tightrope walk, and penguin slide.<br><br>Wii Fit uses graphs and charts to keep track of daily activity, lets users input data from non-Wii Fit exercise, and players can set goals for reducing their weight and BMI. Up to eight players can create and keep a personal profile in the game, letting family members check one another's progress and form friendly competitions.

    some really great indoor exercise benefits from this wii accessory :))

    the wii fit board is compatible with many wii games that are all geared for moving bodies, and they cover exercise, skiing, golf, and many other interesting subjects. With the Wii Fit program, i was able to 'walk' 3000 steps in 30 minutes, and do some hula hoop motions that tone the obliques and hips. i bought a second wii fit board that i don't plan to use with the gaming system. i plan to use it as a low step with the music of my choice, and build up my cardio endurance and heart health once again. I can spend 30 minutes a day indoors, out of bad, cold weather, and not have to worry about wearing a mask to workout on a treadmill at the gym.

    Great product, shipped in Wonderful condition. Wii Fit is really a dated Fitness Game used on the Wii Console. Dated but, a very good Fitness Product. I'm recovering from 2 years of surgeries, I'm getting myself back into health, This product is WORKING for me. It has Yoga, Aerobics Strength and balance exercises. Keeps track of your progress and keeps track of your weight. Go For IT.

    Fun for middle aged people too

    I have 8 children and we got the Wii back when the kids were little. We used it then to play games as a family. I'm over 50 now and I wanted to try to get back in shape. I purchased a Wii fit board and I use it to play games and challenge myself. I find it fun and not really "exercise" so I love doing it. It isn't like I'm watching some woman who is already fit trying to encourage me. Instead my Wii person looks like me... slightly overweight but she smiles and she tries. I find it fun and it is helping me to work out every day.
