Very happy with this 2 car unit. It has Hornby's TTS Sound which means you get sound from the front and the dummy car. I have one other FGW Class 43 with a sound decoder in the front only and after listening to the Virgin HST it really does need a sound decoder in the dummy car too. It is reasonably good quality sound and terrific to hear it from the front car and then the dummy car too as it passes by. Very good control - it comes to a stop really well and acceleration is good too. A good buy, but shop around as the price is now coming down dramatically for this 2 car unit.

answers to above only take into consideration the sound quality and not the item itself,witch is of good quality,the sound needs to improve ,take out the sound and you have a good quality loco , in my opinion tts is tatty in this loco and should be removed
