I have 2 of these and they are great they use a USB to plug in and you can choose between a colour changing option or blue lamp setting. The base charges the detachable torch which is very bright and comes in handy when wandering the house at night and the torch can also be used as a colour changing light stick or a blue light stick. The torch handle glows red when charging on the base and glows green when fully charged. You can also choose to have just the base on or both the base and torch.
This is honestly one of the best and definitely most useful mood lamps I own and I have house full of philips hue lamps. I even bought my sister one because she loved it so much and she says it's so useful to always have a fully charged ultra bright torch on standby :-)
