Two independent 3A buck converters each driving two USB sockets with DCP recognition only. If charging two devices simultaneously use two side by side not two in the same stack. The converters each use a HX1314 chip which seems not to be available in the West as a component, but Google Translate reveals a pretty standard fixed 5V switching converter with current protection although in a very small package for a 3A device (meaning it must be pretty efficient or it would overheat). However the specification says 8-30V input, not the 40V suggested in this listing. I used one to build a USB Power adapter for my 18V power tool battery although it should also be good for a 12V or 24V automotive battery. The lack of a USB recognition chip probably means it will not charge an Apple device and may limit other devices to a relatively slow charge rate of 1.5A per USB socket.Read full review

This module allowed me to use a 15v power supply that previously had no use. Charges devices at 3 amp. Very useful as it allows me to charge multiple devices at once
