I bought this kit without realising how difficult it might be to assemble and may never do so. Before buying I would google search for and read the assembly instructions - RTL.SDR DIY KITs Installation instructions I fancied building the kit as a project but if like me you are not equipped to solder surface mounted components then I would opt to buy an assembled unit - I wish I had. As I already have the kit I may well invest in some solder paste and have a go but suspect that connecting the enamelled copper wires to the legs of a tiny IC may well be beyond my capabilities. I am therefore unable to comment regarding how well it works

With "kit", these guys doesn't mean "comes complete with antenna", no they mean that you need to be able to solder surface mount (not through hole). Most people don't. This was a complete waste of money. Absolutely no manual was included to assist in assembly.
