Reasonably easy to fit, simply find a 12v volt source (usually the cigarette lighter socket) plug in the power cable and connect the other end to the display. Mounting the unit will cover the original mirror, but this can be a benefit as the new unit is probably larger than the original. The package includes two sets of securing straps which is a positive as they seem prone to failure after a while. The set-up is easy with a drop down menu system. In use, the display in not obtrusive and soon reverts to a clock if that option has been selected. As for the rear view camera, a different set of problems. This is the second time I have fitted a mirror style dash-cam and on both occasions the cable to connect the rear camera to the main unit is too short. This involves 'acquiring' an extension cable which can present problems. However, as my background is in electronics, this was an easy task for me. The next problem is connecting the rear camera to your car's reversing light. I would suggest that this is a task for a professional. You need to identify the cable / wire feeding the reverse light bulb, confirm that you have the right one then connect the supplied red cable to the relevant reverse light cable. Not a task for the amateur as you will need to cut a cable, insert connectors of some sort and at the same time connect the supplied red cable into the mix. A suggestion from me - if you're not an experienced electrician get one to do the job for you or forget the reverse aspect. However, once all is connected properly, when reverse gear is selected you have a reversing camera built into you car mirror.Read full review

This camera combo appears great for the price but it's just not very reliable, quite often when going into reverse there's no image or it gets very laggy, so you think you have room then the next moment you are nearly hitting something. Has potential to be a great bit of kit but is let down by it's quality.

Please be aware that when both cameras are used the resolution will drop to 720p!!! Every feature is still great, even at 720p. Also, do get the hardware kit to your care. Nobody wants a messy cigarette lighter attachment. Great dashcam for price.

Purchased as a replacement for OEM fitted to vehicle. The extra surface reflective area makes it easy to see the whole of the rear screen without rear pillar distortion. Screen controls are easy to use and the settings menu also straight forward. Like the edgeless feature reducing the amount of bulk of the the whole unit. Bear in mind though that if the original rear view mirror is too wide to start with getting a good recording camera angle is awkward.

Been using it for about two weeks. I purchased another one before this and the rear cam stopped working within days This one has worked well so far. Only issue I've noticed is on playback, it says some files damaged. But not sure if thats due to how I've powered off. For the price im happy. Yes some people have complained that its only 720p when using front and rear cam. But for the pricey expectations were low. I think its good enough. You may struggle getting plates etc and rear cam mainly only good for parking. At night it gets blinded by lights from car behind. Again don't expect too much. Ive looked at the market and kits under £40 will not really be high end. But a reversing camera alone is a big selling point. Wiring was hit and miss but that's down to the type of car. The quality of this kit was much better than the other i got for half the price. I wont say to rely on it for accidents etc, its more of a bonus. Read full review
