these are really good value for money and i have purchased several for lighting under my hood and trunk light in my car.. Im not sure what voltage these should run at, but one so far has fused out.. My car is putting out 14.6 volts DC and this light lasted only a couple minutes.. Im cautious now using the others so ive placed a 220 ohm resistor inline to drop the voltage down a little.. Now ok running on 13.0 volts and its a little cooler than before. So far, so good. Another point is theres no insulation covering the red and black soldered wires under the black outer metal frame. This could lead to a short circuit if the black casing is pressed in when the unit is powered on. The metal casing will short out the terminals if your not careful. At first glance these lights appear cheap & nasty but actually they are just cheap ,they give off excellent light, the cob led & board appear to be fairly good quality the wires are very thin & the metal casing is also very thin but at less than $2 a pair I wasn't expecting too much ,I suggest applying a blob of silicone on the back where the wires come out to prevent breaking the wires

I use them as a reverse light so not always on, they do seem to dim at random times, and not keep the powered affect, not something I would use for driving, buy better ones for that, but to hook a trailer up it works OK they are cheap and you get what you pay for, they also get REALLY hot which I think could be the issue

These lamps put out great light - very bright for their size. Great value for money. They do however get very hot quickly which is to be expected considering the output. A good heat sink is highly recommended.
