Laminate floor now protected and, with minor adjustment of the spikes, the speaker stands don't have a nanometre of play in them. On the downside, the nice black finish makes it quite clear that the stands are, after some years, now anthracite, rather than black, and in need of a serious clean!

does what it claims
I was sceptical, but willing ti try this. the spikes on the speakers fit well into the shoes, and I find the sound is a little crisper and the soundstage more discernible.
