My first ever addition to my collection of 1] a Lancia and 2] a model presented in an exclusive collector-orientated container did indeed bring that 'Seria Esclusiva' ['Exclusive Series'] feeling strongly into the picture. The discerning collectors amongst you will LOVE the effect and aesthetic benefits of this feature if the tin is in good condition and arrives contained in the cardboard protective outer packaging which these models arrive in when bought brand new / good pre-owned condition. The car itself: A 1999 Lancia Lybra is well reproduced and does not feature any bones of contention such as opening doors / hood or bonnet or stickers / decals: Everything logo-wiase is tamp printed nicely. The model does however feature partially-open front Near and Offside windows but to no detriment - in fact though positioned halfway these look good on this model. The other bone of contention not present is pull-back action though the model freewheels. Out of the tin the model is freestanding and not mounted on a plinth or plastic stand making display on a sloping surface a slight issue unless positioned directly side-on to the incline. Well ... If you like your Italian cars which many of us do I'd go for this model without a doubt. It's diecast with a plastic part content of I reckon average 35 to 40 per cent composition and in 1/43 scale. A good quality Lancia model like this is actually not all that easy to obtain with many being produced far more along the 'toys' genre and not for discerning or adult collectors. But those of 15 years old plus will not regret this being added to their collection when the opportunity arises: 9 / 10!Read full review
