I have an ancient Sony Trinitron TV, very heavy and all wood and chrome and black, from 1967. When the digital switchover happened, I got a Freeview for older TV's without the SCART connector, mine has only the aerial in socket. This Freeview died, so I looked for another, and the GDR11 came up. It's no longer made new, but is easy to set up and use. It's better than the old one was. You can also use it with a SCART TV or VCR, and if you want stereo sound, hook up a pair of amplified speakers to the RCA sound sockets on the back of it. Nice little Freeview for those who keep an old vintage telly, or enthusiasts that do. Sometimes the capacitors go on the power supply, but repair's easy if you know what to do. One last and very useful feature is that the RF output can be changed, should another TV station or device make interference. This is on the easy to use MENU, on the remote.Read full review
