A well designed, robust sharpener, ideal for use with coloured pencil and graphite pencils. The desk clamp holds the sharpener firmly but it works equally efficiently when used unsecured. I find it easier and quicker to use than a handheld sharpener or a knife/scalpel while the automatic stop ensures that a long point is achieved consistently with a minimum of effort and waste.
