I purchased the 5th generation iPod with 64GB. The item arrived ahead of schedule and was wrapped/packaged better than any item I have ever received. I was a bit surprised about the size of the iPod being much smaller than I anticipated, but I have never shopped for one, so the smaller size is really an advantage. There has been some confusion on transferring all of the files to the new unit, but that may be an issue of operator error. An owner's manual or instructions on transferring all files would be helpful.

If you don't have an iPhone (stuck in a contract) or don't really want an iPad (not as portable as you'd like), but still want a compact handheld media powerhouse, the iPod Touch is the only option. I do have to say, the entry level price point is a tad high, especially if you're buying one of these to keep your kid's hands off of your irreplaceable new iPhone 5! But considering the retail price of the iPhone 5, this pocket computer is twice as affordable. Do yourself a favor and pass on the iPad Mini and opt for an iPod Touch 5th Gen which has the retina display. One suggestion, whatever capacity you're considering, skip on a few extra value meals for a couple of weeks and save up a few bucks for a higher capacity model. I was loathe to give up my 4th generation iPod, but I wanted more memory. My new one is just lovely and seems sleeker, and every bit as wonderful! I am thrilled!!
