I love this soundtrack. I think John Williams is brilliant. I recently bought the Half-Blood Prince soundtrack, composed by Nicholas Hooper. It's alright but nowhere near as good as this one. I think Williams really captures the emotion of each scene. His music has energy, passion, excitement and drama. The tone and tempo of the score fit perfectly with the action in the movie; the humour of the Knight Bus scene, the soaring exhilaration when Harry is flying on Buckbeak and the gentleness of Harry's quieter, more reflective moments. It's an absolute joy to listen to this with my eyes closed and see the bits of the movie playing in my mind.
I LOVE THE CD, ITS GREAT TO LISTEN TO WHILE I'M DOING THE HOUSEWORK, ITS GOT ALL THE MAGIC OF THE FILM BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO WATCH TV. IF YOU LOVE THE HARRY POTTER FILMS AND BOOKS YOU WILL LOVE THE MUSIC CD'S.
I am a great fan of John Williams and find this CD to be one of his finest. My favourite track is Window to the Past. This really does come highly recommended.
