This was a remarkable story and after reading the reviews saying how riveting it was I wanted to read it too! And it WAS riveting! As well as being very well written, it shows what a lovely, lovely girl Jaycee comes across as. Despite the horror of what she experienced she seems to be a very mature, kind and loving and giving person who handled her situation with grace and never let it embitter her. A great read on a horrific subject matter. She seems a very genteel, compassionate person who deserves every happiness life can give her and I hope the remainder of her life is as good as she deserves it to be. How wonderful for her family to have her home again when in so many cases missing people never return. But how sad that they have missed all those years together.
An interesting true book to read and I havent finished it yet. Very easy to read. Although most abductee's are never seen again 'A Stolen Life' is an account with a different outcome. In my opinion, Jacyee gives her account in the book which shows her exceptional courage, intelligence and determination whilst finding herself in such a frightening situation. Her treatment is shocking in the hands of the abductor(s), nevertheless it is a story of hope as well.
A great book. Poor Jaycee what she went through but she came out the other side with two lovely daughters. She is amazing 💕
