Very scary vampire film about an Alaskan Town which stays nighttime for 30 days. A perfect place then for a bunch of very bloodthirsty vampires. Josh Hartnett and Melissa George do a very good job of defending the town. Excellent scares. Great special effects. Bloodhounds and gore fans will love it!! Top film. Very recommended. Lots of extras on DVD.
Average vampire flick, that is very similar to "The Thing" in situation and storyline except this time it's vampires. Very, very predictable. Very blood-thirsty just for the sake of it, maybe done just to make people with low IQ and a Staffs Bull terrier get excited. Should be called 3 Days of night, because large chunks are skipped, ending is a let down and all this is nothing new...
After watching this film at the cinema i couldn't wait for it to come out on DVD. It is an excellent and modern vampire film. I wasn't sure if the vampires came off the boat shown at the beginning or from elsewhere.I didn't think it should have ended like that though. it was ashame the lead character had to die but still well worth watching.
One of the best vampire films ive seen in a long time. Very modern, the vampires actually look scary, instead of the new found 'sexy vampire' Brilliant actors, very believable. I love the new overhall on how the vampires look, teeth, blood, evilness etc
I've read the book, I have to admit I was expecting a let down when I got to the cinema. This is one of the best vampire movies out there and a credit to the leading characters who brought it to life. Fantastic film well worth watching more than once!
