Using a motorcycle with a chain can be a pain at times. The problem is keeping just enough lube on the chain without putting on too much which flings off-onto the tyre, wheel and you! Using ordinary gearbox oil is one solution but takes time and is messy. Using a chain oiler usually the amount of oil going on the chain depends on the temperature, so you're forever fiddling about with the settings to get it right. Using the Castrol chain lube racing aerosol puts just enough lube onto the chain, and it sticks like the proverbial poo on a blanket, Also if you happen to have to do a long run in wet conditions you can take it along with you and give it a squirt when you stop, to stop the chain drying out.

Overall the castrol chain lube works well, you can notice the difference after you have applied it. Value for money is a difficult one to answer. £10 seems a lot for chain lube , the holts brand works just as well and is a few £££s cheaper.

This is an amazingly versatile virtually non-throw off semi dry chain lubricant, particularly useful for chain/flywheel sprockets on indoor spinning machines with a chain guard as well as cycles and motorcycles. Only needs applying twice a year for effective lubrication on indoor apparatus, and as required or after cleaning chains on oudoor machines.

Very little fling and the only chain lube i have had that does not collect around the sprocket area that happens with other chain lubes that i have purchased, this resulted in overnight drips of chain lube on the garage floor. I should imagine just like with fully synthetic engine oils it will have excellent anti wear properties. The only gripe is there should be 500ml in the can to justify the highish price. All in all another great product from castrol.
