The story lines are compelling. They build and run through the entire series. The characters are brilliantly conceived; each one uniquely different. These Vampires are not immortal and humans are not their enemies. Each book focuses on one special relationship but so much more runs through the griping plot. Lover Unleashed is the story of a deity and a doctor but so much more also. This series is a must.

WOW I never thought that vampires could love someone with such passion. The book itself is full of the most raunchiest goings on and explicite scenes ever. Going to read everyone of them. J.R. Ward is the best vampire author I have ever read, (Twilight Series are brilliant but they are a different story altogether). Gosh what would the films be like for these books, the mind boggles.
Amazing novel, just like the previous books. Obsessed with the J R Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood novels. Amazing story line and characters. So much love for this series. Can't wait to get started on the Fallen Angles books next!
Once again J R Ward writes a compelling story - The Vampire Brotherhood of the Black Dagger - a group of fighters protecting their race in secret from the "Human" community in which they live. This book is the 10th book in the series about a war between the Vampires and the Lessers, set in the "Human" town of Caldwell. Brilliantly writen, with romance, mystery, danger and erotica all entertwined with the "otherworld" of Vampires, Angels & Demons and the constant war between good and evil. This is a love story. Lover Unleashed is primarily about lives at a crossroad, suspended in grief and the start of new lives - a widowers grief and near fall into dispair, a rape/suicide victims self blame and the resurecion of a Fallen Angel - each must learn to live again, each must learn to love and sacrifice for others without thought for themselves. The rewards are many, a new life together, release from The Between into the Fade (Purgutory to Heaven)for the wife and unborn child of the widower, a second chance at life. I have just re-read the first 9 Black Dagger stories, and am just about to start the third of the Fallen Angel series - a natural flow on, with many interwoven areas they are not to be missed.
