The supplied diaphragm kit was perfect for resolving the hot water supply problems.. a problem that started with hot water leakage to the central heating loop until full failure, and no hot water. Although I'm used to removing the fill unit and heat exchanger for rescaling it, it was a further step to remove the diverter valve, including sensor cables, so I suggest you mark/label these before disconnecting. Before disassembling the valve, take note of where the mounting bracket sits, maybe take photos to look back at. Separating the two halves wasn't too bad, although a few tight screws to loosen. Once apart I was shocked at the state of the old diaphragm.. lots of built up dirt and completely perished. After a furough clean up, it was a simple re-assembly job of the valve, using the sealant provided to apply to the outer groves of the valve body where the new diaphragm seal sits.. then compressing the spring to get the first screws back in, then gradually working around the valve putting all the screws back in and gradually tightening them as they compress the diaphragm seal inside to ensure no leaks. Fitting the valve with multiple connections was a bit fiddly, attaching the sensor cables again, and then replacing the other parts (including descaled heat exchanger whilst this was off). Refilled to correct pressure and no leaks. All sorted now and no issues over the first 6 weeks with piping hot water. A great kit and just 2 hours work! Read full review

Worth it, however I would pay more if they included the o'rings and fiber washer for the heat exchange as replacing the dv or internals, you will need these lol

The Diverter Valve repair kit is easy to replace and the quality of the membrane means it should last for years. The included seals are useful. It would be a better package if the fibre pipe seals were included also but these are easily obtainable from a plumbers or DIY retailer.

decent quality, it can be changed without removing the valve, drain down enough water, use a very long screwdriver to get to the screws, watch out for the big spring. Replace, job done.

This is a well made product which enables a repair to the diverter valve in a Worcester boiler. This part of the valve usually lasts for three years because the flexible diaphragm is made from rubber which is unable to stand the high temperature of the water. The symptons of approaching failure are an apparent loss of boiler pressure in rest mode and an increase in pressure when working.
