I got the phone to use for the gym mainly as with the Android system you can put Strava,Watt bike and LF fitness apps on there, which you can't have if you have a Windows phone as I found out! The screen is clear, the sound and the display are really good for the price bracket it's in. The battery lasts ages and it has a mode for battery stamina which prolongs the battery life considerably. You do get a lot of Sony apps on the phone, walkman, movies as well as the usual Google play etc which you have to Google account for. It's a comfortable fit in your hand with a dedicated camera button on the side and a LED display bar that changes colour to let you know if you have a text or email etc. It's a nice touch. Sony make great products as this is no exception the build quality is solid and doesn't feel flimsy in any way. As for the Android Jelly bean 4.1 operating system you have lots of choices of apps to download if you are going to dowload apps, I would get the maximum 32gb micro sd card as the storage capacity is 8gb so saving music, apps etc will soon fill the 8gb. I can't be definite but they have Android newer operating systems I'm unsure as to wether this would update to the latest OS from Android though.Read full review

Sadly this phone is not what we expect extend. A few bumps and bruises fine but this phone sadly only works on speakerphone enabled. Also when you press the screen it takes a second or two to respond. In all fairness we were offered a prompt refund however as we are short of money can't afford to be without a phone waiting for what will be a week or so and then get another. Sadly we are stuck with this for now.

so far, this was the most amazing smart phone I fell in love with specially in the sony xperia family line. I bought the phone because I found the design precise, weight is just right and the edges are well crafted. The bottom area has this lighting effect which creates distinct feature. It communicates any important notifications, messages and phone call, etc. specially if the phone is away from reach but still visible in sight. I am very much attracted with its camera and the ever so colorful display which shows defined clarity of images and pictures, videos.. What I dislike is that you can't update it with the recent android support 4.4(kitkat). I wish that petition i signed with might be of help so the company will consider allowing the update in the near future... Comparing it to other Sony Xperia phones which are more new in the market; Sony xperia sp is in my opinion more durable. currently in the news, some of the xperia phones( xperia z and z1) has their screens easily cracked even without any chances of dropping it. Sony xperia sp features is not that bad compared to some features of the z and z1, almost still the same. It only varies with the camera pixels and screen resolution...Read full review
This is a good entry phone with 4G and great graphics. However with a limited 1GB of ram, this phones capabilities are somewhat limited due to lag. Overall impressive phone with good features, however it may bit suit the person with a more complicated use of softwares as it tends to crash.
