This product is good, but for it to be totally effective a few things must be done. If like me you have hairy arms you may need to shave them where you intend to place the seal (seems obvious when you think about it) and also I tended to sweat in it if in the bath or when wearing it at the swimming pool. Condensation is the term and it can be negated somewhat by putting you hand into a very large sock or wrapping your arm in something absorbant and slightly insulating if your injury/pain level allows. I've had 2 different types of these protectors. This rubber one for arm/hand injury and a bag with neoprene seal for a leg injury. They both condensated but the rubber version seals far better. No product trying to seal around a limb is going to be perfect, but these do good job at helping you keep showering etc.Read full review

This is far to tight for a mans wrist it cut off the circulation to my hand. I purchased this after having hand surgery & was going to use it to bathe in but the first time I got it on it was far to tight had to squeeze my hand threw the tiny hole once I got it on it was to tight my hand was in so much pain & started to swell up. I tried to get it off but the pain from the tightness was so bad had to cut it off in the end after 5 minutes of excruciating pain which opened up my wound again! One size doesn NOT fit all but the tightness did make it waterproof.

Ordered this item after wrist surgery. Didn`t use it until the cast was removed and replaced with a splint. Was a bit wary at first in case it didn`t keep the water off my wound, but it works perfectly. It is difficult to get on and off without help as the open end (which is quite small) needs to be stretched a lot to go over the cast, dressing , splint etc. and this is easier if someone helps you, especially if your arm is painful! The first time I tried it I thought it was a little damp inside but , as someone else said, it`s just condensation - the dressing was completely dry when I removed the protector. Just place a cotton flannel , cloth or bandage (for ex.) over your arm to absorb any traces of moisture . I have been swimming in the pool and sea without getting my wound wet so would definitely recommend this product if, like me, you fracture something a couple of weeks before your holiday.Read full review

I am an active 51 year old female and love my swimming,I had an operation on my hand leaving me in a plaster cast for 3 weeks. This product is amazing, it has enabled me to carry on swimming 3 times a week, I'm even taking it with me to the beach this weekend. Highly recommend this product . safe to use even in a hot tub.

I bought this in preparation for a plaster cast after wrist surgery. It's a simple, lightweight and effective way to keep your cast dry. It's basically the same rubber that dry suit neck and wrist seals are made from so you just pull it over your cast and water can't get past it.
