Never seen the Busby Babes in action so I purchased this dvd and really enjoyed it.The picture quality was pretty good as it was nearly 50 years old and it was nice to see how football use to be played.
Treat yourself to one of the few opportunities to see Duncan Edwards and the other Busby Babes in action, just months before the Munich disaster, due to the fact that television footage was rare in the 50's. It is also the last time that Aston Villa lifted the cup so a rare pleasure for Villa fans. The quality of the film is quite good considering. After all it is nearly sixty years old when writing this review and the fact that the original Kenneth Wolstenholme commentary has been kept simply adds to the authenticity. Football fans also get to compare the change in both style and rules over the years and reflect the days when teams were made up of players who played for the love of the game, little money, and were British born.
