I wanted a pair of locking forceps in order to safely fit and remove craft knives from my scalpel, these forceps do the job perfectly. They are the right size, seem strong and well made, just the job! They arrived well packed, with instructions for cleaning correctly to stop the risk of rusting, as I am not using them as part of a surgical pack I have not got them wet so am unable to comment whether or not the forceps tend to rust or not.
