When it was first released, in 2006, this graphics card was just about top dog, with the exception of the 8800 ultra, in the Nvidia range. A really excellent card, although requiring a good power supply, at least 600W PSU for a single card. In 2006, these cards cost over £300, but today can be obtained for around £50 to £80. With their DX10 support, physX support, and triple/quad SLI capability, these cards are still a good performer today. I found that buying a pair was a cheap way to enable SLI on my 2nd PC, especially as since forceware 180, the 8800GTX cards can be from different manufacturers,it's just the GPUs and memory sizes that must be the same. I bought a BFG card and a gigabyte card and I am using them in SLI with a 1000W PSU, and the results are very good. I feel that this card is a good, cheap SLI solution, as it will still work with almost all the modern games. Just make sure that your PSU can handle it.Read full review
Already own one of these cards but wanted to SLI it as I'm not quite ready to fork out for new expensive GPU. Very happy with it and the latest games still run at a great speed...
