Shipping of orders via Parcelforce to UK premium charged destinations which includes all postcodes in Northern Ireland, Highlands & Islands, Scilly Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and Channel Islands, carry a surcharge of £7.90 which must be added in under sellers other charges when completing checkout and before completing payment to avoid a delay in shipping your purchase. Standard warranty terms are 12 months from date of purchase. In the unlikely case of experiencing what you think may be a defect or fault, please contact us first so that we may fully assist and diagnose, etc. Over 90% of first reported defects or faults are resolved via telephone, eBay message or email without the need for a return. If a product return is required and agreed by us please return the complete product exactly as received together with an accurate failure description plus proof of purchase/original receipt/invoice (from the DOCS ENCLOSED on the original package front) and all accessories and internal packaging as originally supplied.
 
During the warranty period you will receive a replacement product from us if available.

Bit indifferent. The iron appears to be identical to the original, but this one you have to "thrash" to get it hot enough. Normal working temp for leaded solder is about 320c and the original worked fine at that, however the replacement you have to set to nearer 400, which is almost at the limit of the station, so something isn't quite right.

Hi there, I am sorry to learn of the issue you report. Since this is a "replacement" soldering iron I presume your original one stopped working? What you say in relation to temperature setting indicates a potential fault with your soldering station unfortunately, and I suspect that a test of it will identify the output to the soldering iron socket is degraded and will likely continue to degrade, possibly as the internal PSU ages and operationally naturally deteriorates over use time.

Hi it's the iron. If i put the old iron back on i still use it at 320c which is normal for the size of work i am working on with leaded solder. Forget all this above about where it starts to melt etc, 320c is the temp i need for my work. If i put the new iron on the station it takes 380c to do the same job. It's not the station. I only bought another to save time changing from small to large tips. I had to pass IPC qualification, soldering was part of it and i've been doing this for 25+ years

Sorry you didn't realise this. Photo shows iron with no tip, and listing details clearly states "Soldering iron tip not included in this sale". Would you like some tips before they are sold out and discontinued as we are phasing out support, supplies and spares for soldering?
