I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. I was expecting a cheap paperback, but in fact it's a really well produced book, on good quality paper and lavishly illustrated with colour photographs for every story. Also, every one of the 60 stories has a map showing the route the survivor(s) took to reach safety. The illustrations aren't at the expense of the text, which is fulsome. If anything, the type is on the small side in order to fit more text on the page, but that's not a complaint - I mention that only to show that there is a lot of text as well as the maps and photographs. Altogether it's a very impressive book and I thoroughly recommend it.
