Jewel of the Nile takes off where Romancing the Stone left off. "Joan Wilder" is now trying to be a serious journalist, and leaves her perfect life on a boat with Michael Douglas to research. He follows, and saves her. Again, follows more chases, and action, this time in the desert as opposed to the jungle. Another great family film.
Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas return in an action-packed, fun sequel to Romancing the Stone. This time they are adventuring in the North African desert and the bullets - and one-liners - come thick and fast. Comic bad guy Danny DeVito has some of the best lines including, "No sheep is safe tonight!" Terrific fun.
A great adventure film that stars Michael Douglas in one of his greatest films. Also starred in Romancing the stone.
