Have just tried this tool with surprisingly satisfactory results. I'm a mechanic with 30 years experience at trade and have offered plenty of curses to drill bits that have worn or snapped at the most inconvenient moments. Now, I'm NOT saying the drill bits I just sharpened were absolutely perfect, but... This tool would definitely come in handy for those fellow tradesmen who work from a van for example, to quickly dress tools in an emergency, when working away from home or a workshop. I used a cordless drill to operate the grinding wheel, and suggest you ensure you adjust the alignment of the tool and power tool if you have to, to avoid possibly causing damage to this tool - power tools, their housings and batteries vary in size as we all know. Hides easily in a toolbox. It IS made of plastic, so some care will be needed to ensure its longevity. If a company were to make a metal one, I would definitely buy it. Until then, this one will reside in my box of handy tools. I watched a video demonstration of this tool on a certain popular social media channel, and having just given this a try, I would agree with this chap and give this tool a 'thumbs up".Read full review

It is not solid enough to do many drills all at the same time. It is just for occasional usage. No trades person should buy this item. There are no bearings in the unit and the grinding wheel spindle just turns in a plastic holder. It melts easily and soon goes out of alignment. The grinding wheels are quite soft and do not last very long. The design is quite good but the materials that it is made from will let you down. Please avoid, there are better products on the market for the same price.

Read afew reviews before buying this sharpener but after using it on my cobolt drills I'm so impressed. I'd been drilling stainless steel and taken the edge off my drills and needed to either replace or sharpen, replacing is costly and in the long run wouldnt get any cheaper so opted for this sharpener after watching utube. The plastic holder is flimsy but then sharpening is a delicate job and if you go at it ham fisted you will break it but more importantly you will over heat your drill bit, so take your time and be gentle and let the sharpener do its thing and youll be rewarded like I am with sharp drill bits.
