I bought this tray thinking it would make the whole cleaning process easier. Did it? Not at all. This tray is composed of two normal trays and one “sieve” in the middle of them, the way it works is as follows: You take the top tray full of litter and your cat’s droppings. You put all of that onto the sieve, which will leave only the dropping (although you still have to scrape to get everything out of the top tray). You empty the sieve. You exchange the top tray for the bottom tray. At the end of this process you are left with a dirty top tray sitting on the bottom and a clean bottom tray now sitting on top, with the sieve in the middle of them both. Had I known this was the way it worked I would have just bought a regular litter tray and a scoop (which at the end of the day you still need to use).Read full review

This tray is for wood pellets litter. The pellets change to sawdust when the cat wees. Give the sieve tray which has the pellets on, a shake periodically to make the sawdust fall through leaving unused pellets on the sieve. Add more pellets if needed. Use doggy poop bags to grab any poop. Pellets are really good at stopping smell. Every few days, empty the sieved sawdust from the bottom tray onto your compost heap (or bin bag if you want to be environmentally unfriendly). IT COULD NOT BE SIMPLER!!! No smell, no mess, no tracking. And pellets are cheap and last for ages. Also marketed as horse pellet bedding. There are YouTube videos which show you how to do this if you’re not sure.
