This parasol is perfect if all you want is a pretty appearance for a special occasion. Structurally it function but is flimsy, it will not stand rough handling, It is made of a thin, almost see through white plastic, with white lace trimming. It was exactly what I wanted for a Victorian costume, and would be equally good for a bridesmaid accessory. Not strong enough for frequent usage.
